Every Monday afternoon from 1.30pm our knitters come together for a very sociable afternoon in the Day Centre. Sounds of laughter, chatting and clicking needles amongst Christine Shepherd, Carole Kenward, June Link, Joyce Gray, Pat Distin, Sheila Rayner and Jo Burton our regulars.

Not only do they knit garments for personal use and toys for gifts, but avidly support Neonatal Units in UK hospitals with very small garments and blankets for premature babies. Help for Heroes have benefited from hats, teddy bears have gone down to Africa for children, scarves and blankets for a Care Home residents in Rojales are just a few of good causes our knitters enjoy helping.
Fervent supporters of Age Concern they have their own stall at the Age Concern Summer and Christmas fairs and make a substantial amount of money with their fundraising efforts for our charity.
Anyone can go along and join in, either knitting or crocheting, and help is on hand for anyone who wants to begin this worthwhile hobby as tips and hints will willingly be given.
